Congratulations!!!

The long awaited time has finally come. A lot of sweat, tears, a few ulcers and sleepless nights have not gone in vain. Saturday morning a life changing event occurred and I am here to share it with the world.I got accepted into nursing school at ISU. I really am going to be a nurse some day and from a real school with real accreditations and insurance!

So what is the first thing you do when you find out you've been accepted to nursing school? Throw on a pair of scrubs...OF COURSE! I will soon wear pajamas every day for the rest of my life. I can't wait!

I know some of you might be thinking "hey, I thought you were in nursing this whole time". Come to find out there are A LOT of prerequisites that I had to complete before I could even apply, and now just 2 1/2 more years and I will do something with my life. But really, this is a huge deal. I gave up working for more than $8/hr, 4 years of a previous college education, and being with family and friends. Every years many many people are turned down to this elite program in Pocatello. I am very blessed to have the opportunity to go to such a great school. I also have been rejected from many other schools, so I know this must be the place for me or so many others things would not have happened for me to be here. So for now....it's study study study and practice a few shots, IV's, probably even throw in a catheter or two and before you know it you will be calling me every time you get a bump on your leg and you think it is a deadly spider bite, or cut your finger on a cheap hot tub!
