Memorial Weekend Bike Ralley

Every Year Evanston hosts a bike ralley on Memorial weekend. There are some awesome bikes, sketchy people and loads of entertainments...

If I had to change religions, this is what I'd be!

Maybe you can't see the price tag but this hog is as much as a house!
This may come as a surprise, but this man was highly intoxicated, everything he said was a slurr!

Digging Dog

Mr. Japhy LOVES to dig on the beach at Bear Lake. He has never found anything, nor do I think he ever will. But it never gets old watching him really get after it!

Look at that sand go!

Sew Master

I am winning the award for being the best seamstress in Evanston Wyoming. Don't be jealous, you know my number, give me a call and I'll whip you out a beauty like this too!

Last week I decided I wanted to learn how to sew. So I found a pattern at Walmart and the lady said it was too hard and I'd never figure it out. So I got an easier pattern and still managed to mess it up a few times. Thanks to my Aunt Margaret helping me with the zipper and some important alterations I was able to actually wear this. And as for the award? Well it is actually a 1987 reflections prize to my brother. Just a little something we had laying around!

Old People Parties

My grandmother and her brother had a birthday party for friends and family to come and reminisce. Here are a few highlights:
Grandmother and Uncle Seth (I love the picture of grandad and grandmother in the olden day swim suits!)
I had to post this picture because Bunk has always been an amazing man and now he is fighting his final battle with cancer. This was the last big trip he was able to do. So thank you Bunk for coming out even if you were tired and felt terrible.
My favorite part of the birthday cake is that someone (I won't name who and NO it wasn't me) ate a piece of the cake before it even got to the church and before the birthday kids even got to see it. Classic!
Here is the display tables of things Louise and Seth have done, places they've gone and jobs they've worked.

Here is just a small sample of the baby quilts my grandma has been sewing over the past few months.

So young for a wheelchair. This was the coveted toy to play with. It kept kids entertained for HOURS!

This is a disaster waiting to happen. Surprisingly not to many tears were shed!

Awards

The Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States...
You read correctly, and here is picture proof of me winning the award. What does it all mean? I am not really sure. I will break it down for you on what I think happened. We had a mandatory awards ceremony that we had to dress for. Everyone was suppose to receive an award (to make it more intriguing to attend). Well I of course have done nothing award worthy. I am sure all the staff were assigning awards and they said "oh crap, Christal doesn't have one" and then someone ran to the back storage closet found the 2003 shelf (the booklet is the 2003 edition) and called it good enough. I am not undermining this award I have read about it an noble people in President Lincolns cabinet got it, and for heavens sake it came with a fancy pin. You can't beat that!
