Evanston Sunset

The night before I came back to school there was a beautiful sunset on the hill behind my parents house. I was not fast enough to catch all of the splendor, but here is a small portion.

Inappropriate New Years Story

I would like to thank the Uinta County Herald for posting such an inappropriate First Baby of the New Year story! Evanston (like most towns I am sure) has gifts they give away to the first baby of the new year. This year the baby is titled a "miracle baby" because the dad's vasectomy failed to work. I am sure the baby will love to know her parents had faulty birth control because a surgery on the dads genitals didn't work. GREAT, next time just say Here's the New Baby of 2009, congratulations! (but it was very educational on how ineffective vasectomies are, so next time I have to consider that possibility I will think twice):

A ‘Miracle baby:’ First baby born in 2009 at Evanston Regional HospitalPosted: Tuesday, Jan 6th, 2009BY: BECKY CRUM, Herald Reporter

Kourtney Limb holds up a No. 1 to show she’s the first baby born at Evanston Regional Hospital in 2009. She’s also the first girl born in her family of four boys. Kourtney Rene Limb was the first baby born at Evanston Regional Hospital for the New Year, and the first daughter born to Mehgan and Steven Limb. And that’s not all — she’s also a “miracle baby.”Kourtney was born on Jan. 2 at 12:34 p.m. to Mehgan, age 25 and Steven Limb, age 29, of Evanston. Dr. Eric C. Hansen, MD Obstetrics and Gynecology, was the attending physician.Kourtney weighed in at six pounds, eight ounces and measured 19 and a-half inches long. She is the Limbs’ first daughter. Kourtney has four brothers, Jeremiah, 6, Tyler, 5, Cody, 3, and Wyatt, 2.Kourtney’s parents called her a “miracle baby” because Steven had a vasectomy after the birth of their youngest son, Wyatt, two years ago.“We weren’t planning on having any more children. Steven had a vasectomy after Wyatt was born. When I found out I was pregnant, I was on the Internet making sure that this could happen. I wasn’t really excited until two weeks ago when I found out that they were 99.9 percent sure the baby was going to be a girl. She’s our miracle baby,” Mehgan said.Mehgan’s mother, Kristy Martin of Baggs, expressed enthusiasm over the birth of her first granddaughter.“I think it’s great. I finally got a granddaughter,” Kristy said excitedly.Mehgan said that Steven’s mother, Charlotte Limb of Evanston, is ecstatic.“It’s not her first granddaughter, but she’s very excited about getting another one,” Mehgan said.Steven works at Unit Drilling out of Casper. He commented that now it is Mehgan’s turn to “get fixed.”

Big pies, Little pies, Tiney pies

My mom felt like making pies today. We have all sizes. A big one incase you are really hungry, little ones so you feel special, and tiney ones for people who need to go on a diet. (and yes I got the tiney one)

The pie is so little it makes my head look ginormous! Way to go tiney pie.

Wii Fitness

The inventors of Wii Fitness are pure genious! Here is some hoola hooping in slow motion:

Now running, in fast motion. She would try and run so fast her little guy on the TV would fall!

Getting ready for the ski jump. I love this because it's like Back to the Future, the longer you take the more of the picture dissappears. She has already lost part of her face!

Fast style hoola hooping. Hold on because this is going to get crazy.

Quality Health Care at Evanston Regional Hospital

When you find you have a deadly blood clot in your leg, where is the place you would go to save your life? That's right, all of you were thinking the same thing, Evanston Regional Hospital.

Father went on a four mile hike up hill Friday morning. When he got home his leg was a little swollen. We called some people and all advice was "GET TO THE HOSPITAL" as blood clots are very dangerous. Well the Evanston doctors said they would be more than happy to look at it Monday...when he's dead. So a doctor who works in Kemmerer did his magic in Evanston and got my dad in. He has been recieving nothing but great experiences ever since!

Sunday morning a hippie lady comes to take blood. She was wandering around, trying to get her hair out of her eyes. She then says "lets see if we can't get you over this pnemonia". My father says "I don't have pnemonia". "Well James, why are you in here?" "First off, my name isn't James." The good news is someone down the hall almost got to go home when my dads blood work came back clean of pnemonia! I just hate when I forget to check what patient I am working on!
I also love that my dad is hooked to a bunch of monitors that lead to no where. So when he feels like it, he just unhooks everything to go to the bathroom or move around. He could die and they wouldn't even know!
What is this?

If you didn't know it's okay, most of the staff at the hospital don't know either. It is hand sanitizer and it's really neat, you just take a pump and rub it on your hands and it disinfects germs. I also hear soap works pretty well too!

A few tidbits

What is the best part of the Christmas season? Is it letting your kids dress themselves, know you bought all the clothes they are wearing to make such a wonderful combination?

Were you hoping to get a snuggie for Chritmas? Well eat your hearts out because this young lady not only got a snuggy she has a more fullfilling life! Have you ever sat on the couch and wanted to talk to your friends but you couldn't use a phone and a blanket? Have you ever been watching a movie in the winter but just couldn't get your hands on that popcorn? Or have you ever just wanted to punch somone in the gut but there was no opening right in the middle of your blanket? The snuggie solves all that and MORE! (not available at normal retail locations)

This is how much fun playing Phase 10 with me is. BORED OUT OF HER MIND!
