Memorial Day Tribute

It's late I know, but on memorial day Evanston does a really nice tribute to those who serve our country. It is in the newly remodeled round house and it is beautiful. A man played the bagpipes for the interlude music while everyone was seated.

Veterans getting their assignments of what they are to do in the program
Raising of the flag, and then they lowered it to half mast in memory of the fallen
Just my short time in the military I learned that parade rest does NOT mean hands down your pants. This is what NOT to do!

Marines have a motorcycle club that goes around to events.
This is one of Evanstons surviving Prisoner's of War
This is what happens if you don't continue to exercise when you leave the Marines

Future Marine?

Tough enough!

Taming of the Bees

My Cousin Natasha got to come up from Alaska as part of her high school graduation present. (Who wouldn't want to celebrate in Cache valley??) So my uncle thought should would love to see his very own bee hive in his yard. It seemed like the perfect idea and so she got all suited up. It was fun for about one minute until it got to be like one million degrees in there!
First rule: don't' make the bees mad. Second rule: always stay covered up, thus the manpri's. Really, go to all the work wearing really hot bee suits to wear shorts? It just doesn't make any sense!

Capener Family Favorites

My friend Sara let me take some pictures of her family and I just wanted to share how cute they are... (and try and catch up on blogging)
