Day 6

St. John Day. But first we started off by feeding the iguanas which ended up in a huge fight. First there was one, but I was eating a pear and they love pears and then there were nine iguanas fighting for a tasty bite. They were swatting at each other and trying to pry it out of each others mouths and then to top it off, a mean seagull showed up and joined the brawl. The ferry to St. John is only $6 which is ridiculously cheap, that is why they can't afford to every clean the ship.
We wanted to start off with a fun hike. Look how happy we are to start up the trail! (I've done it a hundred times, no worries right?)

There was a lot of up hill, a LOT of sweating, some rain, we were soaking wet. Everyone fell super hard at least once, except Nate and when I went down I hit every part of my body except my head, good catch right! (and immediately got a humungo hematoma on the palm of my hand) But the view was worth it.

The boys so happy to start the decent down the trail so we can finally get to the beach!!
Bad news, we got to a road and it seemed like the wrong road. The sign said "250 feet to a different trail" so we started walking. Well some how we managed to get on the trail less traveled, or NEVER traveled and ended up down and sewer drainage channel. It was VERY slippery and we could not find our way out. After being bitten by many mosquito's, and many extra miles and Nate almost dying from his diabetes we FINALLY found a real trail and a taxi and a way out of the lonely desert.

Trunk bay is heaven on a beach. It was rain fest 2010 but that made for some great waves to slam us into the beach which is my favorite game ever to play on the shore. There is a lot of sand stuck in my swim suit that I don't know how to get out. There were a lot of people smoking pot on the beach, but at Trunk bay we are no respecter of persons.

During one of the torrential down pours...
Then it was back to Roberts for Desert night. This chocolate ice cream pie. So rich and so delicious. All that exercise being lost in the forest gone!

Gray had the bread pudding.
This is a band I say when I was here at Christmas two and half years ago, what a weird combination. I could have watched them for hours they were so weird, but very good and funny (because they were so weird!) I love weird!

The guy on the keyboard looks like he was a puppet. Hilarious! The man on the electric guitar was amazing.
